Heliport
Heli-tradewinds Offices and Heliport, Mollala, Oregon For Heli-tradewinds, Gettliffe Architecture used a Quonset hut as raw material, transforming it into a multilevel, mixed-use space. The 6,000-square-foot structure serves as hangar, workshop, office, and residence. The building has two sections, one for the hangar and workshop, the other as a split-level comprised of offices above and the residence below. The entry and stairs include diagonal elements that pierce the shell of the curved shape and impart a sense of liftoff from the grounded part of the structure.
