. Green architecture for community, ecolodge, residential and commercial projects. Gettliffe Architecture embraces design from the perspective of how people experience the architecture we create for them. Our design process anticipates the effect of the built environment on people's lives and on the natural environment. How will users experience living, working, playing and being in the space? How will they connect with nature and their community? Mindful, collaborative exploration uncovers answers which inform the design. Explore these gallery pages and photos to see how our projects impact the lives of the people who experience them, in Boulder, in Colorado and beyond. Our involvement in community projects in Colorado and abroad has included collaborative group processes; analysis of community development issues, available resources and technology; master planning; architectural services; and interface with local architects and building professionals. Our multi-national team also offers a full range of ecolodge design services. We value a community-based process drawing from and upholding local identity and resources, while acknowledging features common to successful communities around the world (such as gateways, clear edges, community centers, landmarks, optimum density, pedestrian/vehicle traffic arteries, outdoor rooms...). Informed by the French-European background of principal architect Dominique Gettliffe, our process and work are shaped by the perspective that life is to be enjoyed and lived in a manner that brings joy. The result of our approach is more than two decades of designs that lift, inspire and connect people to nature. In creating structures that increase the users’ enjoyment of life, we also prioritize social and ecological responsibility. Our architectural skills are complemented by the construction expertise gained from 10 years of managing the construction of projects we have designed. Our international team offers services in English, French and Spanish.
